Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Ghee
  • 1 cup - semolina
  • 1 cup - finely ground Coconut
  • 1 cup - Milk
  • 2 cups - Sugar
  • 25 g - finely chopped Cashewnuts and silver foil
  • 1 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Saffron strands
  • How to Make Rava Cake:

    1. Soak saffron in 1 tbsp. of hot milk for 5 mins, then crush it to a paste.
    2. Put the rest of the above ingredients in a heavy-bottomed vessel.
    3. Keep on stirring till the mixture turns thick and starts leaving the sides of the vessel.
    4. Stir in essence and remove from fire.
    5. Put in a greased thali, cover with foil, cool and cut into any shape you like.
    6. Store in an air-tight container. It lasts for a week.
