Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - rava
  • 1/2 cup - Ghee
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 2 cups - water
  • a small quantity- Cashew nuts
  • a small quantity - Raisins
  • 2 - elaichi/cardamom
  • 1 pinch -orange colour
  • 1 drop -essence

How to Make Rava Semolina Kesari

  • Heat 1 tsp of ghee in a kadai/pan, fry rava for 5 minutes. Keep aside.
  • Add 1 more tsp of ghee and fry cashew nuts and raisins.
  • Powder elaichi with a little sugar either manually or in a mixie and keep aside.
  • Now add 2 cups of water in the pan and let it boil, then add rava slowly and keep stirring to avoid lumps.
  • Then add ghee so that the mixture will leave the sides of kadai.
  • Now add sugar, colour and essence.
  • Finally add cashew nuts, raisins and elaichi powder. Serve hot.
