Ingredients

  • 4 - Raw bananas
  • 3 - small Green chillies
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - broken Urad Dal
  • 1/2 tsp - Jeera
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard
  • Oil to season
  • Salt to taste
  • Asafoetida
  • How to Make Raw Banana Podimas:

    1. Cut the bananas into halves and boil them for five minutes on a high flame. Once done, cool them for about 15 minutes.
    2. Peel the skin. Grate the banana and mix the salt and keep aside.
    3. In a frying pan, add oil and season urad dal, jeera and mustard.
    4. When the mustard pops, add chopped green chillies, curry leaves and asafoetida.
    5. During this process, keep the flame in medium-low.
    6. Add the grated banana. and add the seasoning. Switch off the stove.
    7. Add grated coconut. Mix once more.
    8. Add lemon juice and mix again.
    9. The curry is ready to serve with sambar rice, rasam rice or simply with curd.
