How to Make Raw banana rice roti

  • Wash the raw banana and cook it in a pressure cooker with enough water and without removing the skin. Cook till 2-3 whistles.
  • Allow it to cool and peel the skin. Mash the banana into a fine paste.
  • Mix all the other ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Add the banana paste and enough water to make a batter which is thicker than idli/dosa batter.
  • Spread oil on a thick-bottomed tava and spread the batter with your hands.
  • Add a little oil along the sides.
  • Cook covered for 2-3 mins. Reverse the sides and cook covered again.
  • Serve hot with chutney. This dish is also called Baalekaayi akki roti.
