Ingredients

  • 1+1/2cups - red Rice
  • 1/2 cup - parboiled Rice
  • 1/2 cup - whole black gram, without skin
  • 1/2 tsp - Fenugreek seeds
  • Salt

How to Make Red Rice Dosa - Sivappu Arisi Dosa

  • Soak the red rice, parboiled rice and whole black gram with fenugreek seeds separately for at least 4 hours.
  • Grind as coarse batter with enough water and add salt, mix well and keep it for fermentation overnight.
  • The next day, before making dosas, give a stir to the fermented batter.
  • If the batter is thick, just add water.
  • Heat a pan, grease it with oil and pour a spoonful of batter and turn in clockwise to make small circles.
  • Drizzle few drops of oil around and flip the other side and cook well.
  • Serve hot.
