Ingredients

  • cooked Rice - 1 cup
  • cooked flaked fish - 1 cup
  • Onion - 1/2 cup, minced
  • Garlic - 1 tsp, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tsp, minced
  • Green chillies - 1 tsp, minced
  • chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs and bread crumbs to coat
  • oil to fry
  • salt to taste

How to Make Rice and Fish Cutlets

  • Mash the cooked rice.
  • Combine it with flaked fish.
  • Heat 3 tbsp of oil and fry onion, garlic, ginger and green chillies till fragrant.
  • Add all the powders and fry for 1 minute.
  • Add the rice, fish mixture and salt to taste.
  • Mix well and remove from fire.
  • When the mixture is cool enough to handle, shape it into cutlets.
  • Coat with egg and bread crumbs and deep fry in hot oil till brown.
  • Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot.
