Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Rice
  • 1 cup - Jaggery
  • 1/2 cup - Cream
  • Baking soda, a pinch
  • Elaichi powder - as per need
  • How to Make Rice and Jaggery Pancakes:

    1. Soak the rice overnight, drain it and powder it dry (or use ready-made rice flour).
    2. Roast the rice flour.
    3. Take a pan, add the jaggery and water to it and once it melts, add elaichi powder to it.
    4. Strain it.
    5. Meanwhile, take a baking dish and grease it with oil.
    6. Now, slowly add the jaggery syrup to the rice flour along with the baking soda and cream. Mix it well and make a thick batter.
    7. Pour it into the baking dish and steam it for 15 minutes.
    8. Once it is slightly cool, cut it into square pieces and serve it for breakfast or even as a snack.
