  • Milk - 1 litre
  • Sugar - 1/2 kg
  • Vermicelli (Semiya) - 1/2 kg
  • Ghee - 1/4 kg
  • Cashew nut - 25
  • Cardamom - 5
  • Dry Grapes - 25
  • Water - 2 cups

How to Make Rich Semiya Payasam

  • Pour 50 gm of ghee in a frying pan. Fry vermicelli in ghee until it becomes brown.
  • Keep the vermicelli in a separate plate.
  • Then fry cashew nut, cardamom and dry grapes in ghee for a little while.
  • After frying, add water and vermicelli to this mixture and let it to boil.
  • After 10 mins, add milk. Wait until the milk is boiled.
  • Add the remaining ghee and sugar to this mixture. Cook until well blended.
