Ingredients

  • 8-10 - rotis
  • 1-2 - red Onions
  • 5 - Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - whole Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tbsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp - combination of oil/ghee/ Butter
  • a little water
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Roti upama:

    1. Heat oil in a frying pan and add cumin seeds, mustard and turmeric powder.
    2. When the mustard crackles, add green chillies and onions.
    3. Fry it until it turns light brown.
    4. Cut the rotis into bite-sized pieces and add the same to the pan.
    5. Add red chilli powder and salt and stir it well. Sprinkle some water and close the pan.
    6. Cook for a minute.
    7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot.
