Ingredients

  • Saffron - a big pinch
  • skimmed Milk - 4 cups
  • Sago - 4 tbsp
  • Sugar - 6 tbsp
  • Apple - 2 cup, peeled and grated
  • How to Make Sago and Apple Kheer:

    1. Heat milk till boiling.
    2. Reduce the heat and stir in the sago.
    3. Cook stirring till sago is transparent.
    4. Add 4 Tbsp of sugar.
    5. Stir the soaked saffron till it is well crushed and add to the cooked sago.
    6. Cool and keep covered in the refrigerator.
    7. Sprinkle grated apple with remaining sugar.
    8. Add 2 tbsp of water and simmer gently for 2 minutes.
    9. Cool completely and stir into the chilled kheer.
    10. Leave in the refrigerator untill serving.
