  • 1/2 cup - sago
  • 1/2 cup - rice flour
  • 1-2 - green chillies, sliced thinly (as per taste)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup - yogurt
  • 2-3 tbsp - dry coconut
  • Few strands of cilantro
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Sago Fritters

  • Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Soak and set aside for at least 1 hour for the sago to soften.
  • The consistency should be for making vadas. If it is too thick, add more water/buttermilk else add rice flour to thicken it.
  • Take a small quantity and flatten it in your palms and drop it in hot oil for deep fry.
  • The heat should be medium to high.
  • If too hot, the vadas will brown outside but will remain uncooked inside. And if too low, it will absorb more oil.
  • Place it on a paper towel for the oil to drain.
