  • 1/2 cup - Sago
  • 1/2 cup - Rice flour
  • 1-2 - green chillies, sliced thinly (as per taste)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup - yogurt
  • 2-3 tbsp - dry Coconut
  • Few strands of Cilantro
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Sago Fritters:

    1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Soak and set aside for at least 1 hour for the sago to soften.
    2. The consistency should be for making vadas. If it is too thick, add more water/buttermilk else add rice flour to thicken it.
    3. Take a small quantity and flatten it in your palms and drop it in hot oil for deep fry.
    4. The heat should be medium to high.
    5. If too hot, the vadas will brown outside but will remain uncooked inside. And if too low, it will absorb more oil.
    6. Place it on a paper towel for the oil to drain.
