Ingredients

  • Sago - 250 g
  • Ghee or oil - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chillies 3-4, chopped
  • Roasted Peanuts - 1/2 cup, chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp, chopped
  • Grated Coconut - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • How to Make Sago Khichdi:

    1. Wash the sago well, drain and keep aside for 1/2 hour. (The moisture will soften it and so there is no need to soak).
    2. Heat oil, season with cumin and green chillies.
    3. Add sago, salt, sugar and peanuts.
    4. Sprinkle a handful of water and keep covered on a low flame till sago is cooked.
    5. Mix in coriander leaves and coconut.
