  • 1 cup - sago, ground finely
  • 1/2 cup - sago, washed, soaked for 3-4 hours
  • 1/2 cup - peanuts, powdered finely
  • 1 - potato, boiled, peeled, mashed finely
  • 5 - green chillies, finely crushed
  • 1 tsp - sugar
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • Oil for shallow frying
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Sago Pancake

  • Soak sago powder in 1/2 cup water for 15 minutes. Transfer to a large plate.
  • Add all other ingredients, except oil.
  • Knead mixture into a pliable dough.
  • Take a ping pong ball size of dough.
  • Grease a large plastic sheet. Place ball on one side.
  • Fold over the other side.
  • Press to form a thick chapatti.
  • Lift off sheet and transfer to a warm griddle and shallow fry carefully.
  • Drizzle oil on both sides, cooking each side to a golden crisp brown in turn.
  • Serve hot.
