Ingredients

  • 1 cup - sago, ground finely
  • 1/2 cup - sago, washed, soaked for 3-4 hours
  • 1/2 cup - peanuts, powdered finely
  • 1 - potato, boiled, peeled, mashed finely
  • 5 - green chillies, finely crushed
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • Oil for shallow frying
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Sago Pancake:

    1. Soak sago powder in 1/2 cup water for 15 minutes. Transfer to a large plate.
    2. Add all other ingredients, except oil.
    3. Knead mixture into a pliable dough.
    4. Take a ping pong ball size of dough.
    5. Grease a large plastic sheet. Place ball on one side.
    6. Fold over the other side.
    7. Press to form a thick chapatti.
    8. Lift off sheet and transfer to a warm griddle and shallow fry carefully.
    9. Drizzle oil on both sides, cooking each side to a golden crisp brown in turn.
    10. Serve hot.
