Ingredients

  • 1 kg - katla fish
  • 25 g - black mustard
  • 25 g - yellow mustard
  • salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Green chillies - 5
  • 75 g - Mustard oil
  • 1 bunch - Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - black Cuminutes
  • How to Make Sarse Mach:

    1. Clean, wash, drain and marinate with salt and turmeric.
    2. Grind the mixed mustard seeds with 10-12 green chillies and water.
    3. With 25 g of oil, marinate the fish along with the mustard paste.
    4. Take kadai or skillet heat 50 g mustard oil, splutter black cuminutes. Add the fish and slowly saute it.
    5. Lower the flame and pour 1 cup of water and boil.
    6. When done, garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
    7. Serve.
