Stuffed Indian Bread made the Bihari way, stuffed with roasted and powdered gram(sattu). A staple and wholesome breakfast item served with Brinjal curries.

Ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • 3 cups - Wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 2 tbsp - Ghee
  • For the stuffing:
  • 1.5 cup -Sattu
  • 4 - green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 - onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - Amchur powder
  • 1 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • Ajwain - 2 tsps
  • Red Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Dhania and Jeera powders- 1 tsp each
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Saunf - 1tsp
  • salt - to taste.
  • How to Make Sattu Ka Paratha:

    1. Knead all the ingredients into a soft dough for the covering.
    2. Mix all the ingredients with the sattu flour for the stuffing.
    3. Roll out the ball of dough into a 3-4 inch diameter puris.
    4. Place some of the mix in the centre and close the puri to form a ball.
    5. Roll it out into a parantha.
    6. Shallow fry in ghee, on both sides, and serve hot.
