Ingredients

  • 200 g - sattu (roasted black Chickpea flour)
  • 150 g - castor Sugar
  • 200 g- clarified Butter (ghee)
  • Handful - chopped Almonds
  • 1 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • How to Make Sattu Sweet Bars:

    1. Heat a large pan and add sattu flour in it.
    2. Roast the flour on low flame, stirring frequently.
    3. Add clarified butter (ghee) and stir continuously.
    4. When the flour has mixed well with the ghee and roasted completely, add sugar and cardamom powder.
    5. Mix well.
    6. Grease a flat plate or tray and transfer the flour mixture on to it.
    7. Spread it evenly and press it down.
    8. With a knife, cut square or diamond shapes into the mixture.
    9. When cool, allow it to set in the fridge for 20 minutes.
    10. Take it out of the fridge and cut the pieces out gently.
    11. Store in airtight container.
    12. Can be used for 15 days.
