Ingredients

  • 200 g - sattu (roasted black chickpea flour)
  • 150 g - castor sugar
  • 200 g- clarified butter (ghee)
  • Handful - chopped almonds
  • 1 tsp - cardamom powder

How to Make Sattu Sweet Bars

  • Heat a large pan and add sattu flour in it.
  • Roast the flour on low flame, stirring frequently.
  • Add clarified butter (ghee) and stir continuously.
  • When the flour has mixed well with the ghee and roasted completely, add sugar and cardamom powder.
  • Mix well.
  • Grease a flat plate or tray and transfer the flour mixture on to it.
  • Spread it evenly and press it down.
  • With a knife, cut square or diamond shapes into the mixture.
  • When cool, allow it to set in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  • Take it out of the fridge and cut the pieces out gently.
  • Store in airtight container.
  • Can be used for 15 days.
