  • 250 g - Semolina (sooji)
  • 100 g - Powdered sugar
  • 50 g - Ghee or unsalted butter
  • 3 - Eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup - Milk
  • ¼ tsp - Vanilla essence
  • 1 cup - Fresh grated coconut or 4 tbsp - desiccated coconut
  • 2 tbsp - Chopped nuts, such as cashew nut or almonds.

How to Make Semolina Coconut Cookies

  • Roast the semolina in a pan with a little ghee till it gives out a nice aroma.
  • Mix together the semolina, sugar, ghee/butter, eggs, milk, coconut and vanilla essence.
  • Shape into small balls, press them a little and place on a greased baking tray.
  • Sprinkle the chopped nuts on top.
  • Bake in an oven on medium heat for about 30 minutes, till slightly brown on top.
