Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Sesame seeds
  • 5 - Dry Red Chillies
  • 10 - Peppercorns
  • 1/4 cup - Channa dal
  • 1/4 cup - Urad Dal
  • 1/2 tsp - Asafoetida powder
  • Salt
  • How to Make Sesame Powder:

    1. Dry roast sesame seeds, dry red chillies, peppercorns together until a nice aroma comes out, to the same pan, dry roast the channa dal, asafoetida powder and urad dal until they turn slightly brown.
    2. Let them cool completely.
    3. Grind everything as bit coarse powder and store them in an air tightened box.
    4. Serve with rice.
