How to Make Shahi Aamrus

  • Wash the mangoes, peel and chop them into small pieces.
  • Blend the mango pieces in a blender. Add saffron strands and sugar or jaggery.
  • Add a little milk if you prefer.
  • Microwave the figs and raisins in a little water for less than 10 seconds to make them softer. Drain or squeeze out the water.
  • Chop the figs into small cubes or slices and keep aside.
  • Chop the almonds and pistachios.
  • Add all the dry fruits in the aamras along with a pinch of cardamom powder or saffron strands.
  • Pour the mango pulp into small bowls. Chill in the refrigerator.
  • Served topped with cream or along with vanilla ice cream or hot pooris.
