  • 2.5 cups - semolina
  • 1 cup - fresh Coconut
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - Ghee
  • 1/2 cup - condensed Milk
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 1/4 tsp -green Cardamom
  • 10 - almonds, blanched
  • How to Make Shahi Barfi:

    1. Heat ghee in a pan and roast semolina on medium heat till it is pink.
    2. Add grated coconut and continue to roast with semolina till dry. Allow it to cool.
    3. Add condensed milk and cardamom powder.
    4. In another pan, prepare sugar syrup of one string consistency.
    5. Add this to the roasted semolina mixture and mix well. Allow to cool.
    6. Split almonds. Make lemon-sized balls of the mixture and flatten.
    7. Garnish with almond halves.
