Ingredients
- 1.5 cups - milk
- 2 cups - sugar
- 3.5 cups - maida
- 1/2 tsp - salt
- 3/4 cup - ghee
- Oil to fry
How to Make Shankar Pali
- Mix ghee, sugar and milk in a pan and heat it till the sugar melts and the mixture starts boiling.
- Turn the heat off as soon as the mixture starts boiling. Let the mixture cool down.
- Mix maida into the mixture and keep adding it till you get a nice, stiff dough (the consistency of the dough should be such that you can roll it).
- Heat oil in a kadai. Divide the dough in equal parts, roll it into rotis (not too thin).
- Cut it with a knife into small squares.
- Fry in oil, on medium heat, till you get a light brown colour.
- Serve these nice crispy, crunchy shankarpali with tea.
