Ingredients

  • 500g - fish, cut into pieces (shark/pomfret)
  • 2 - medium sized Onions
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - Vinegar
  • 4 tbsp - oil
  • Salt, to taste

How to Make Shark Fish Pickle

  • Marinate the fish pieces in 1/4 tbsp vinegar and salt for 10 minutes.
  • Heat the whole oil in a pan and fry the fish pieces for about 15 minutes. Save the oil after frying the fish.
  • Grind the onion into a fine paste.
  • Heat the oil in a separate pan and add the onion paste. Fry for 15 minutes.
  • Add the chilli powder and salt and fry for another 10 minutes.
  • Then add the fried fish pieces and fry the mixture till it becomes brown in colour.
  • Add the vinegar, mix well and allow it to cool.
  • Goes well with rice.
