  • 1 stick - sweet butter
  • 1 heaped cup - sooji
  • 3 cups - milk
  • 1 cup - brown or white sugar
  • 3 tsps - raisins
  • 3 tsps - cashew
  • Pinch each of turmeric, clove and cardamom powder

How to Make Sheera

  • Melt butter on low-fire and roast cashew pieces for 1/2 minute.
  • Add sooji and roast for two more minutes.
  • Add all the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly and then keep stirring continuously until all the milk evaporates. This should not take more than five minutes.
  • Cool for 15 minutes.
