  • 200 g - Flour
  • 150 g - Butter
  • 50 g - Sugar
  • 2 tsp - Powdered Sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of baking powder
  • How to Make Short Bread Biscuits:

    1. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together into a bowl.
    2. Rub in the butter till the mixture looks like bread crumbs.
    3. Add the sugar and knead till a smooth ball of dough is formed (do not add any water).
    4. Roll out the dough to about 2 cm thickness with a rolling pin.
    5. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and place the rolled out dough on it.
    6. Crimp the edges with the back of a fork and prick the dough all over.
    7. Sprinkle powdered sugar.
    8. Bake in a slow oven for about 45 mins.
    9. Remove when baked and cut into squares.
