Ingredients

  • 500 g - shrimps large
  • 1/2 cup - slices Onion
  • 1 cup - fresh Tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup - fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 - Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumins powder
  • 1/2 tsp - black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp - ginger/garlic paste
  • 2 - Green chillies (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp - oil

How to Make Shrimp Masala

  • Saute sliced onions in a frying pan with the oil till they turn transparent.
  • Add green chillies, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder and black pepper powder, ginger/garlic paste and stir well for about a minute.
  • Add the finely chopped tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes disperse well with the masala (add some water if need be).
  • Squeeze the juice of one lemon and cover the pan and cook for further 2-3 mins.
  • Add shrimps, salt to taste and simmer for 3-4 mins till the shrimps are cooked.
  • Remove the pan from the fire and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
