  • 1 cup - ordinary steamed Rice or left over Rice
  • (All the better to use overnight Rice kept in the fridge.)
  • 1/2 cup - Wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp- chopped corriander
  • 1 tsp- Red Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp- Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - sesame seeds (til)
  • 1 tbsp- oil or Butter
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp- of Yoghurt or Curd
  • 1 tbsp - fresh fenugmerk or Spinach leaves (optional)
  • 3-4 tsp oil for shallow fry
  • How to Make Simple Rice Rotis:

    1. If using spinach or other greens chop fine, wash and drain very well in colander.
    2. Mix all ingredients well except oil to shallow fry.
    3. And form a dough using moist hands.
    4. Do not make it too soft.
    5. Divide in 5-6 round balls.
    6. Roll into chappatis of 5" Diameter
    7. Shallow fry on hot grinddle.
    8. Sprinkling some oil on both sides.
    9. Cool on rack. Pack if desired with chutney or sauce.
