Ingredients

  • Poppy Seeds or Khus Khus - 1 tsp (soaked in warm water for half hour)
  • Dalia - 1 tbsp
  • Grated Coconut - 3 tbsps
  • Red Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Onion - 1 medium size
  • Garlic pods - few
  • Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • 3/4 kg - mixed vegetables (carrots, Potatoes (diced), Cauliflower and Broccoli florets, fresh green peas)
  • How to Make Simple Sagu:

    1. Place vegetables in a bowl and microwave for 10 minutes.
    2. Powder the dalia and add the soaked poppy seeds, grated coconut and finely chopped onions with a little water. Grind.
    3. Fry garlic pods in a little oil in a pan.
    4. Add the boiled vegetables.
    5. Add the ground mixture to the boiled vegetables.
    6. Add salt to taste.
    7. Cook for 10 minutes.
    8. Serve hot with chapattis or poori.
