Ingredients

  • 4 - Tomatoes
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • 3 Cloves - Garlic
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • Mint leaves
  • a bunch -coriander leaves
  • salt
  • How to Make Simple tomato rasam:

    1. Boil the tomatoes, green chillies, mint leaves and garlic in two cups of water for 5-7 mins.
    2. Strain and keep the water aside.
    3. Grind the tomato mixture coarsely.
    4. In a pan, heat the oil and add mustard seeds to it. Once they splutter, add the ground mixture, turmeric powder and salt to taste. Add the drained water and bring it to a boil.
    5. Add coriander leaves and serve it hot.
