Ingredients

  • 1 kg - Mutton chops
  • 5 medium sized Onions (finely chopped)
  • 5 medium sized Tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 6 Green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1.5 tsp - ginger- Garlic paste
  • 2.5 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 3 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 5 green Cardamoms (peeled)
  • 1 black Cardamom (peeled)
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1 stick - Cinnamon
  • 2 to 3 Bay Leaves
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 tbsp - curds
  • 6 to 7 tbsp - oil
  • sufficient water to cook the Mutton
  • finely chopped Coriander leaves ( to garnish)
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Sindhi Mutton:

    1. Clean and wash the mutton chops.
    2. In a heavy bottom vessel, lightly heat oil.
    3. Add the onions, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon, cardamoms and bay leaves.
    4. Fry the onions on a low flame till golden.
    5. Add the mutton chops and salt.
    6. Cook on a low flame till the water from the mutton dries.
    7. Add the tomatoes and the powdered masalas.
    8. Add curds and saute on a low flame till oil separates.
    9. Add sufficient water and cook on a low flame till the mutton pieces are tender.
    10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
    11. Serve hot with zeera rice, rotis and onion slices.
