  • 1 cup - Soya granules
  • 2 - Boiled Potatoes
  • 1/4 cup - Bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp - Finely chopped Onions
  • 1/4 cup - Milk
  • 1 tsp - Roasted Cumins powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Chaat masala
  • 1/4 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • Oil to shallow fry
  • How to Make Soya Patties:

    1. Soak the soybeans in water for a minimum of 3 hours.
    2. Boil the soaked beans for 15 mins in a large, heavy-base saucepan.
    3. Drain the water and mash the beans in a blender until they are thoroughly combined.
    4. The soybean pulp is ready when the beans are blended into a stiff puree.
    5. Add water as needed during the blending.
    6. Mix all the ingredients together apart from the breadcrumbs.
    7. Mix until a thick mixture forms.
    8. Shape into evenly sized patties.
    9. Roll each patty in the breadcrumbs until coated.
    10. Bake or fry the patties.
    11. If you choose to bake the patties, they will cook in an oven at 350 degree F/177 degree C until brown.
    12. If frying, keep an eye on the patties and turn over when each side is brown.
    13. It is best fried over low heat to prevent burning.
    14. Serve with sauce and salad.
    15. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, dinner and supper.
