Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup - basmati Rice
  • 1 cup - finely chopped Palak
  • 1 - Carrot chopped
  • 1/3 cup - Green peas
  • 1/4 cup - Mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 2 tsp - jeera(cumin seeds)
  • 2 - Green chillies
  • 1 - Bay Leaf
  • 1 tsp - black pepper Corns
  • 1 to 2 - Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp - Dhania powder
  • 1 - Tomato chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - Butter
  • How to Make Special Palak Pulao:

    1. Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf and jeera. When it starts to pop, add the tomato.
    2. When tomato turns soft, add the masalas and vegetables (palak, mushrooms, peas, carrot).
    3. Cook for 2 minutes.
    4. Now add rice and enough water to cook it.
    5. When the rice is half cooked, add the butter and cover the pan till the rice is fully cooked.
    6. Serve hot with raitha.
