  • 2 cups - Bottle Gourd chunks
  • 4- Dry Red Chillies
  • 1 tbsp - Urad Dal
  • 2 tbsp - Grated Coconut
  • 1 spoon- Tamarind paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 5-10 - Curry leaves
  • Oil.
  • How to Make Spicy Bottle gourd Chutney:

    1. Heat oil in a pan and saute the urad dal and dry red chillies until golden brown. Keep aside.
    2. Now saute the bottle gourd chunks in the same pan for 3-5 mins.
    3. Then dry roast the grated coconut and keep aside.
    4. Now grind the cooked bottle gourd, roasted coconut, tamarind, fried urad dal, salt and red chillies in a mixie into a coarse paste.
    5. Then heat the remaining oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds and saute the curry leaves. Pour this over the ground paste.
    6. Serve as a side dish.
