Ingredients

  • Clams (washed and shelled) - 1 cup
  • Onion chopped (medium) - 1
  • Tomato chopped (medium) - 1
  • Green chillies slit - 2-3
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp (more if you like it spicy)
  • Fish masala - 1/2 tbsp
  • Basil leaves - 2-3 (Dry Basil 1 tsp)
  • Oil - 2-3 tbsp
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Spicy Clams Masala:

    1. Heat oil in a kadai and fry the green chillies and ginger- garlic paste for 1 minutes.
    2. Add the onion and fry till soft.
    3. Stir in the tomato and cook for 4-5 minutes.
    4. Add clams and cook for 2-3 minutes.
    5. Now add all the powders, herbs and salt.
    6. Mix thoroughly so you coat all the clams.
    7. Add water and cook till the clams are done.
    8. Add more water if needed.
    9. Serve hot with chapatti.
