Ingredients

  • Left over idlis - 4
  • Oil or Ghee - 3 tbsp
  • Idly chilli powder - 2 to 3 tsp
  • Fresh bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 2 tbsp

How to Make Spicy Idli Roast

  • Preheat the sandwich toaster till the indicator light switches off.
  • Meanwhile, mix bread crumbs with milk.
  • Add idli, chilli powder and 1.5 spoons oil or ghee. Mix well.
  • Brush the under side of 2 idlis with some oil or ghee.
  • Spread bread mixture on top of each idli and place in sandwich toaster. The idlis can be toasted on a tawa too.
  • Toast till top is brown.
  • Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
