Ingredients

  • Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • besan (chickpeas flour) - 1 cup
  • chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 3 tbsp
  • Leeks - 1 cup, sliced
  • fresh dill - 2 tbsp, chopped
  • oil to shallow fry the rotis
  • salt to taste
  • water to mix

How to Make Spicy Leeks and Dill Roti

  • Mix together all the ingredients from wheat flour to turmeric powder.
  • Heat 3 tbsp of oil and saute the leeks till soft.
  • Add dill, mix well, remove from fire and add to the dry mixture.
  • Add enough water and knead well to make soft, smooth dough.
  • Keep covered for 1/2 hour.
  • Divide the dough into 8 balls.
  • Roll out each ball thinly.
  • Heat a griddle and cook the rotis on mode heat with oil, till golden brown and slightly crisp.
  • Serve hot with a sweet and hot pickle and curd.
