Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg Prawns.
  • 1 cup Onion (finely chopped).
  • 3/4 cup Tomato (finely chopped).
  • 1 inch Ginger.
  • 7 Garlic cloves.
  • 3/4 tsp Turmeric powder.
  • 1.5 tsp Red Chilli powder.
  • 3/4 tsp Anise seeds.
  • A few curry leaves.
  • 4 tbsp Coriander leaves (finely chopped).
  • 3 tsp oil.
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Spicy Prawn Fry:

    1. Clean the prawns.
    2. Grind the ginger, garlic and anise seeds into a fine paste.
    3. In a heavy bottomed kadai, add the oil and heat it.
    4. Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute.
    5. Then add the onion, tomato, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and fry for 4 mins.
    6. Add the prawns and cook till they become tender.
    7. Then add curry leaves and coriander leaves and fry well.
