Place washed and dried potatoes on the turn table of the microwave oven. Cook on full power for 5 minutes. Turn the potatoes, inner side out and underside up. Cook again for 5 minutes. Wrap a cloth napkin around them so that they are well covered and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
Peel and cut potatoes into 3 cm cubes.
Combine all the powders with salt and tomato puree.
Mix potatoes with the masala mixture. Place in a wide microwave safe dish in a single layer.
Pour oil all over, cook on full power for 8-10 minutes, stirring once every 2 minutes.
Serve with puri or chapatti.
