How to Make Spicy Sweet Corn Pulav

  • Wash rice and soak in water for a while.
  • Meanwhile, chop the onions.
  • Grind all the ingredients under the 'To grind' list into a fine paste by adding water and keep aside.
  • Cook the corn and keep aside.
  • Heat enough oil in a pressure cooker and fry the cinnamon stick, cloves and bay leaf.
  • Immediately add the onions and saute until they become translucent.
  • Now add the ground paste and saute for few minutes.
  • Drain the water from the rice, add it to the cooker along with the cooked corn, and saute for a few minutes.
  • Finally add enough salt and 2 cups of water.
  • Cook till 2-3 whistles.
