  • Spring onions - 4 bunches
  • Fresh Red Chillies or Green chillies - 8
  • Tamarind - ping pong-sized ball
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Salt - a pinch
  • How to Make Spring Onion Chutney:

    1. Wash spring onions and cut into pieces.
    2. Heat oil in kadai, add spring onions, salt, tamarind, red chillies and stir. Cover with a lid.
    3. After spring onions have become soft, remove lid and fry for 5 mins.
    4. Let it cool and then grind it.
    5. The chutney goes well with hot rice.
