Ingredients

  • Fenugreek (sprouted) - 1 tbsp
  • Tamarind pulp- 1 tbsp
  • To Fry and Powder:
  • Red Chillies - 3
  • Pepper - 1 tsp
  • Urad dhal - 2 tsp
  • safoetida - 1 tsp
  • Grated Coconut - 2 tbsp
  • To Temper:
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Salt to taste.
  • Turmeric -1/4 tsp
  • How to Make Sprouted Methi Sambar:

    1. Fry the ingredients for the masala in 1/2 tsp oil and grind fine.
    2. Add the tamarind paste to 1 cup of water.
    3. In a pressure cooker, heat 1 tsp oil.
    4. Temper with the listed ingredients.
    5. Add the sprouts, tamarind water, ground paste, salt and turmeric.
    6. Pressure cook for one whistle and serve.
