Ingredients

  • 1 cup - gram flour
  • 1/2 cup - fine semolina
  • 2 tbsp - cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp - ground Sugar
  • 1 - lemon, juice extracted strained
  • 1.5 cup - water
  • 1.5 tsp - eno fruit salt
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • Follow up:
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Butter
  • 2 tbsp - water
  • How to Make Steamed Chocolate Pudding:

    1. Sieve flour into a large bowl. Add semolina, sugar and salt. Mix cocoa and sugar well.
    2. Add to mixture.
    3. Add in lemon juice, 1.5 cup water.
    4. Mix well to form smooth batter, keep aside.
    5. Put a large vessel or steamer to heat.
    6. Place stand inside.
    7. Grease a 9 cake pan, place inside vessel.
    8. Heat vessel, simmering water.
    9. Dissolve eno in 2 tbsp. water.
    10. Pour onto mixture, quickly beat well till thick and fluffy.
    11. Pour immediately into prepared pan.
    12. Cover lid turn on high, steam for 12-13 mins.
    13. Take off lid, allow to simmer in pan, for a minute.
    14. Remove, cool cake pan on work surface for 7-10 mins.
    15. Meanwhile mix follow-up ingredients in a small pan.
    16. Bring to a boil, pour over slightly cooled pudding, evenly.
    17. Allow water to be soaked up into the pudding for a few minutes.
    18. Serve warm or hot, with coffee or tea or even icecream scoops.
