Ingredients

  • Flan:
  • 4 - Eggs (separated)
  • 4 oz - Icing Sugar
  • 4 oz - Plain Flour + 1/2 tsp - Baking Powder OR 4 oz - Self Flour
  • 1/2 tsp - Strawberry Essence.
  • Filling:
  • Fresh Strawberries
  • Strawberry Jam (warm)
  • Whipped Cream
  • Sugar
  • Chocolate curls to decorate

How to Make Strawberry Flan

  • Beat egg whites till stiff.
  • Beat egg yolks and sugar, add essence and add flour, fold in egg whites.
  • Bake in a greased round pie dish at 200 degree C for 10-15 minutes.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Turn the cake on upside down.
  • Halve the strawberries and arrange on the cake.
  • Brush with strawberry jam.
  • Top it with whipped cream and chocolate curls.
