Ingredients

  • 1 cup - mango, grated
  • 3/4 cup - honey
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1/4 tsp - salt

How to Make Sugarfree Sweet Mango Thokku

  • Heat oil and let the mustard seeds splutter.
  • Immediately add grated mango, saute for few minutes, and add the red chilli powder and salt.
  • Cook for a few seconds, add half a cup of water and cook until the mango is half cooked.
  • Finally add the honey and cook until the thokku turns thick.
  • Once cooled, transfer it to a bottle and store at room temperature.
  • This keeps for 2-3 days, longer if refrigerated.
