  • 1 medium-sized - Banana (ripe)
  • 1 cup - semolina/rawa
  • 1/2 cup - Jaggery (grated)
  • few broken pieces of cashew (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp - fennel seeds, optional
  • 1/4 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • salt, a pinch
  • oil for frying

How to Make Sweet banana bajji

  • In a large bowl, mash the banana. Then add the grated jaggery and mix it well using your fingers.
  • Now add the broken cashew, cardamom powder, fennel seeds and a pinch of salt.
  • Finally, add the semolina and bind it into a dough.
  • If need be, add more semolina to make dough.
  • Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a small kadai.
  • Once oil is hot enough, slowly put small balls of the banana dough into the oil and fry till it's brown.
  • Remove and place it on paper napkins to drain off excess oil.
