Ingredients

  • 500 g - Flour/maida
  • 1/2 litre - Milk
  • 6 tbsp -Sugar
  • 1 tsp - Salt
  • 200 g - Butter
  • 1 cup - Warm water
  • 4 -Eggs beaten
  • 1 tsp - Vanilla essence
  • 2 tsp - Active dry yeast.

How to Make Sweet Round Bread

  • Dissolve the yeast in 1 cup of water.
  • Combine all the ingredients together and knead into a soft dough with the dissolved yeast and milk.
  • Use a little more water if required.
  • Cover with a towel and set aside for 2 hours until the dough doubles in size.
  • Punch the dough down and divide into 12 small rounds.
  • Now shape them into loaves.
  • Place on buttered and floured baking trays.
  • Set aside for 45 mins to rise.
  • Brush with beaten eggs and sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
  • Bake in a moderate oven for 45 mins.
