Ingredients

  • 1 cup - lady's fingers
  • 2 tbsp - Tamarind paste
  • 2 tbsp - Jaggery
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/2 tsp -aniseed
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard
  • 1/2 cup - grated Coconut
  • few - Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp - chopped Coriander leaves
  • few - Curry leaves
  • How to Make Sweet sour lady's fingers:

    1. Clean and chop lady's fingers.
    2. Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan, splutter mustard, add fenugreek, aniseed, curry leaves, salt, turmeric and chilli powder.
    3. Saute for a while and add the cut lady's fingers.
    4. Add tamarind pulp and cook till the lady's fingers are tender.
    5. Finally, add jaggery and grated coconut. Serve garnished with coriander leaves.
