Ingredients

  • 1 bunch - Asparagus
  • 2 tbsp - Sesame powder, coarsely ground
  • 1/2 tsp - Aamchur powder
  • Coriander - to garnish
  • Coarsely grated coconut - to garnish
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard seeds
  • Chilli powder, turmeric powder, jeera powder, coriander powder, salt, sugar - to taste

How to Make Tangy Asparagus

  • Cut the asparagus into 1/2-inch pieces.
  • Pressure cook them for about 6-7 whistles.
  • Then take the asparagus out, mash and keep aside.
  • Heat 6-7 tbsp of oil in a flat pan.
  • Add mustard seeds, and cumin seeds and let it splutter.
  • Add the chilli powder, turmeric, jeera, coriander powder, amchur powder and salt according to taste.
  • Add the mashed asparagus and cook for 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add sugar and sesame powder and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander and coconut.
