Ingredients

  • 1 - chicken, about 1 kg
  • 400 g - beaten Curd
  • 2 - medium sized finely sliced Onion
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp - Garlic paste
  • 2 tsp - Kashmir chilli powder
  • 1.5 tbsp - coriander powder
  • Kewara essence - 1/4 tsp
  • Freshly ground Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil or Ghee
  • For whole garam masala:
  • 4 - black Cardamom
  • 6 - small Cardamom
  • 10 - black pepper
  • 7 - Cloves
  • 3 inch - Cinnamon stick
  • Small piece - nut meg
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • How to Make Tasty Chicken Korma:

    1. Heat oil or ghee for about 100 to 150 ml in heavy bottom deep handy or pan.
    2. Add sliced onion and cook till they become crispy.
    3. Remove from fire and place on paper to absorb excess oil
    4. Then again place pan on fire. If oil is less you can add more.
    5. Add washed chicken, ginger garlic paste, salt, chilli powder, coriander powder and whole garam masala. Mix and cover for a while.
    6. Cook till chicken is tender then add beaten curd and mix. Cook for more 6 to 8 min.
    7. Take off from flame and add freshly ground garam masala about 2 tsp and few drops of kevera essence. Seal and leave for 1-2 hours till you get the aroma.
    8. Serve with naan or paratha.
