  • Kidney beans - 2 cups
  • Ginger - 10 g
  • Garlic - 10 flakes
  • Refined oil - 1/2 cup
  • Tomatoes - 3
  • Onions - 2
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Tasty Rajma

  • Grind ginger and garlic into a paste.
  • Heat oil in a cooker, add two red chillies. Then add onions and fry till golden brown.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and saute for a few seconds. Then add tomatoes and stir till it becomes soft.
  • Add chilli powder and salt.
  • When the oil separates, add beans and 4 cups of water and stir.
  • Close the cooker, bring it to full pressure on high heat.
  • Reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the cooker from heat and allow it to cool.
  • Partially mash beans with back of a ladle, till the gravy is creamy.
  • Add garam masala powder and stir.
  • Serve hot.
