Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Paneer (cubed)
  • 1 cup - Green capsicum (cubed)
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 2 - Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - Dry methi leaves
  • 2 cups - Cooked Basmati rice
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam masala powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 - Whole spices (bay leaves, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick)
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • A few curry leaves
  • To Roast and Grind:
  • 1 tbsp - Coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds

How to Make Tawa Paneer Pulao

  • Dry roast the coriander seeds and cumin seeds and grind into powder.
  • Heat enough oil in a large kadai, fry the whole spices and curry leaves.
  • Add the chopped onions and ginger garlic paste and saute until the onions turn translucent.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and cook until it turns mushy.
  • Now add the cubed capsicum along with red chilli powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and dry methi leaves. Cook for a few minutes.
  • Now add the cubed paneer. Stir for a few minutes until the oil separates.
  • Add the cooked rice, ground powder and toss gently until everything is well mixed.
  • Serve hot with a side dish or raita.
